Dream Poem 69: Let’s Pretend to be English

On a canal trip
we are going to Everest on a canal barge
we go up on deck to fish,
he gets one,
I get one.
He gusts his
I throw mine back in – I don’t want to eat it – its yellow and orange.
The tide is low and crabs are coming out and an octopus it gets up and lumbers about.
I run to the upper deck I don’t like it.
We go to a party
I have to pretend to be English
and my friend pretends to be a nurse.

We are both unconvincing.
